In Rail3D track consists of Nodes joined by links.

A node is a single point in Rail3D space, and is defined by x and y positions and an elevation. It also has an angle parameter which defines the centre line angle of the track at this node.

The position of the nodes is not normally shown, to see the node positions (as above), select view track aids from the view menu

Nodes are created automatically as required when you create a link.
