VicT Class

The T Class is a diesel-electric locomotive found on the railways of Victoria, Australia. They were progressively introduced from 1955 onwards, and would become the Victorian Railways’ most numerous locomotive. The Ts were typically employed on branch line duties but they could also be found working in multiple with larger locos on the main lines. In more recent times, the later series Ts have many and varied liveries, and have worked the standard gauge to more distant destinations.

The model currently in production is the first series T Class, which were known as the “flat tops”. All but two of them only ever wore the vr blue and gold livery in their time with the vr. In the early 1980s, a little under half of the first series was rebuilt and became the P class, and the remainder has been scrapped or is now (largely) in the hands of preservation groups.

Despite what it looks like, all this model requires for completion its real bogies (the ones pictured are borrowed from a pre-2kd model!) and its texture, which I first need to make and then map to the panels.

With any luck — and a bit of determination on my part to actually finish it — the model should be ready very soon.
